Ingredients
3 pounds chicken breasts, trimmed and halved
8 oz sliced swiss cheese
1 6 oz package Stovetop dressing, chicken, prepared as directed
1/2 c milk
2 10.75 oz cans Cream of Chicken Soup
1/2 c butter or margarine
Steps
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large casserole dish (deep 9×13 dish) place chicken in a single layer.
Layer swiss cheese evenly over chicken.
Mix milk and cream of chicken soup and pour evenly over cheese.
Sprinkle dressing over chicken evenly.
Melt butter or margarine and pour evenly over dressing.
Bake for 50 minutes or until chicken reaches at least 165 degrees.
Side:
Frozen or fresh zucchini and squash. Prepare in the microwave or a steamer pot and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and parmesan.
Story
There are a lot of recipes out there for Swiss Chicken. We like this version with stuffing mix on top instead of the typical bread crumb version. In the photo we served it with a side of steamed zucchini and squash.
